The instrument incorporates a fully sealed oxygen bomb structure made of corrosion-resistant Stainless Steel. The cross-section of the inner cylinder is pyriform with a 3 kg capacity, ensuring efficient heat transfer. The double-layer external water jacket and electric stirrer maintain temperature uniformity throughout the test cycle.

 

🔬 Working Principle / Testing Method

The XRY-1A measures the heat of combustion by burning the sample in an oxygen atmosphere within a sealed stainless-steel bomb. The released heat increases the water temperature in the surrounding jacket, which is recorded with a 0.001 K-resolution thermometer. The calorific value is computed using the system’s calibrated heat capacity and corrected for environmental factors.
