The SOX406 incorporates integral metal heating for high-precision thermal control from room temperature +5°C to 280°C. The extraction space is electrically isolated for enhanced safety. The AELAB SOX406 performs classical Soxhlet fat extraction by regulating solvent boiling, condensing vapor, and repeatedly washing the sample matrix to dissolve fats and lipids. Automatic heating control stabilizes the evaporation–condensation cycle, while the 80 mL solvent cups ensure consistent solvent exposure. The system quantifies fat content after solvent recovery and residue weighing, maintaining reproducibility with a 1% relative error.
The SOX406 includes an LCD-based user interface with programmable timing functions, audible alarms, and operational prompts. Its control platform supports GLP-oriented documentation of temperature parameters and extraction steps. Integration with laboratory LIMS is enabled through manual data logging workflows.
