The AE-GEL600 is engineered around a 9 MP scientific-grade CCD sensor cooled to −65 °C to minimize noise during long exposures. Its optical system uses an F = 0.95 wide-aperture 25 mm lens, with an optional F = 0.8 lens for enhanced light capture. LED illumination provides stable, uniform lighting, and the imaging chamber accommodates a 20 × 20 cm gel area. Optional 2- or 5-position filter wheels and selectable filters, including an optional 590 nm filter, allow flexible dye and fluorophore compatibility.
The AE-GEL600 detects chemiluminescence, fluorescence, and visible light signals using a cooled CCD sensor with >75% quantum efficiency. The system acquires data via controlled exposures from 1 ms to 120 min, supported by multi-mode binning (1×1 to 8×8) to enhance sensitivity when imaging weak signals. LED lighting and controlled optical pathways ensure consistent excitation for nucleic acid stains, protein stains, Western blot membranes, and SDS-PAGE gels.
The AE-GEL600 supports PC-based software control for data acquisition, analysis, and image export. Standard USB connectivity enables file transfer, quantitative densitometry, and GLP-ready documentation. The system integrates easily into laboratory networks for compliant data management.
