The AELAB AE-GEL Series integrates a highly automatic imaging platform with fast focusing, high-resolution CCD capture, low noise, high sensitivity, and large resolution. It features an F1.0 high-throughput 20-million auto-focusing lens and multi-layer coated special filter to ensure stable and accurate gel imaging performance.

The system adopts a new imaging module design with a 12.5-inch HD touch interface, providing simple operation, intuitive menu control, and efficient nucleic acid and protein gel documentation without manual debugging.

⚙️ Design & Construction

The AE-GEL Series is engineered around a dark-field high-resolution CCD camera, equipped with F=1:1.0 or F=1:1.2 20-million auto-focus electric lenses, depending on the model. Multi-layer coated filters (590 nm standard) ensure precise fluorescence isolation, while the integrated UV table (302 nm) and white-light conversion plate support both fluorescence and colorimetric gel analysis. The 12.5-inch intelligent touch display provides full control, visualization, and real-time monitoring.

🔬 Working Principle / Testing Method

The instrument captures fluorescence or visible light emitted from DNA, RNA, or protein gels stained with dyes such as EB, SYBR Gold, SYBR Green, SYBR Safe, GelRed, GelGreen, Texas Red, or Fluorescein-labeled nucleic acids. High QE ≥79% sensitivity improves photon collection efficiency, while dynamic range ≥4.8 orders of magnitude ensures quantitative imaging. Exposure from 1 ms up to 60 minutes (model-dependent) allows both faint and intense bands to be recorded without saturation.

💡 Key Advantages

  • High-resolution CCD detection with 6–12 million pixels for detailed gel band visualization
  • Electric auto-focus lens enabling rapid and consistent imaging without manual adjustment
  • Multi-mode UV/blue/white light illumination supporting a full range of fluorescence dyes
  • 16-bit image depth (0–65535 colors) for accurate densitometric analysis
  • Integrated 12.5-inch touch system for stand-alone operation without external PC
  • Advanced filter module ensuring minimal stray light and high-contrast images
  • Wide dynamic range suitable for weak and strong signal detection in a single exposure

🔗 Connectivity & Integration

The AE-GEL Series supports direct system operation through its onboard processing module. Optional PC data export and reporting software enable GLP-compliant record keeping, quantitative analysis, and long-term archiving. USB storage interfaces allow fast image transfer to laboratory data systems.
