



The AELAB Reflectance Meter RM-206 is engineered for precise measurement of surface transparency and reflectivity across coatings, plastics, pigments, and films. It complies with international standards ISO3906-1980 (E), ISO3905, and ISO2814, as well as national standards GB/T13452.3-92, GB9270-88, and GB5211.17-88. The RM-206 offers stable performance with integrated RS-232 or Bluetooth output for seamless data transfer to PC systems.
The RM-206 features a compact 141×45×79 mm enclosure housing a high-sensitivity optical receiver and digital display. Its measuring aperture (7×14 mm ellipse) ensures consistent light capture across non-glossy and reflective surfaces. A built-in 3.7 V rechargeable Lithium Ion battery powers the unit for portable and extended field testing. All critical components, including the photocell and optical lens, are precisely aligned for accurate signal conversion.
When the reflected light of a sample acts on the photocell surface, the electric signal generated is amplified through a DC amplifier and processed by a microcontroller. The display reading is directly proportional to the intensity of the reflected light. This principle enables quantification of coating opacity and film transparency with repeatability of 0.3%.
The RM-206 connects to PCs via RS-232 or optional Bluetooth data adapter. Compatible software enables data logging, statistical analysis, and GLP-compliant report generation. The instrument supports direct measurement storage and external export to AELAB LabLink systems for centralized data control.
