The AELAB D-160 Handheld Homogenizer is designed for rapid homogenizing, emulsifying, suspending, and disrupting biological samples such as tissue of animal, bacteria, yeast, and plant materials in liquids. It is ideal for sample volumes from 0.1 mL to 250 mL depending on the dispersing shaft selected.
This lightweight and ergonomic homogenizer supports manual operation and provides variable speeds from 8,000 to 32,000 rpm for precision sample preparation. Interchangeable 316L Stainless Steel shafts enable quick dismantling and full autoclave sterilization for contamination-free workflows.
The AELAB D-160 features a compact 45 × 55 × 190 mm frame and a robust AC carbon brush motor rated at 160 W. The dispersing shafts are manufactured from SS 316L Stainless Steel with PTFE internal components to ensure chemical resistance and long service life. Each shaft is fully autoclavable and optimized for specific volume ranges from 0.1 mL to 250 mL.
The D-160 homogenizer operates by generating high-speed rotor–stator shear forces at linear velocities from 6.3 m/sec to 14 m/sec. The adjustable 10-stage speed control enables precise sample processing, ensuring uniform disruption, emulsification, and particle size reduction across complex biological matrices. This ensures reproducible homogenization of tissue, cellular suspensions, and viscous samples up to 5,000 mPas.
The AELAB D-160 integrates easily with laboratory support stands and safety enclosures. Its simple power interface (110–120 V / 60 Hz or 220–240 V / 50–60 Hz) allows deployment across global laboratory environments. The rotor–stator shaft system is optimized for quick, tool-free installation and removal.
