The DM1224 Hematocrit Centrifuge spins capillary tubes at high speed to separate blood components by density. As the sample rotates, red blood cells pack at the bottom, enabling precise measurement of hematocrit (HCT). The brushless DC motor ensures stable rotation, while the LCD controller regulates speed, RCF, and run time for consistent, repeatable results.

The DM1224 performs hematocrit testing by accelerating capillary tubes to speeds up to 12000 rpm. The centrifugal field of 13680 × g packs erythrocytes at the sealed end of the capillary, allowing clear hematocrit percentage quantification. Users select speed, time (10 sec–99 min), or Continuous mode via the LCD interface. A door interlock prevents operation when the lid is open, ensuring operator safety.
