The AELAB 50mm Vent Filter uses a hydrophobic or PES membrane to block particulates and microorganisms while allowing sterile air or liquid flow. In gas applications, the hydrophobic PTFE structure prevents liquid penetration, ensuring contamination-free venting. In liquid workflows, PES and Nylon membranes provide efficient clarification and sterilization. This dual capability makes it suitable for sterile container venting, fermenters, and small-volume sample processing.
