AELAB Water Activity Analyzers

Water activity analyzers are devices used to measure the amount of free moisture in a material, typically in food products, pharmaceuticals, and other substances. Water activity is different from moisture content; it refers to the availability of water for microbial growth and chemical reactions. These analyzers work by determining the equilibrium relative humidity of a sample.

In practice, a sample is placed in a sealed chamber within the analyzer. The device then measures the humidity levels as they stabilize and calculates the water activity based on these measurements.
