AELAB DS Series Benchtop Liquid Colorimeter – DS-810N / DS-812N / DS-816N

The AELAB DS-810N/DS-812N/DS-816N benchtop liquid colorimeter provides more than 30 color indicators, including platinum cobalt index, Gardner, Saybolt, China, the United States, and European Pharmacopoeia standards. Intelligent zero calibration ensures accurate measurement of △E*ab≤0.01.

The minimum liquid addition is reduced to 1 ml; 10 mm and 50 mm cuvets are standard, and 33 mm and 100 mm cuvets are optional. The measurement speed is fast, and a single measurement takes only 1.5 seconds. The thermostatic sample tank (up to 90 °C) design ensures sample fluidity, and the 7-inch touch screen stores more than 100,000 pieces of data.

⚙️ Design & Construction

The AELAB DS-812N integrates a Φ40 mm integrating sphere with Avian-D fully diffuse surface coating and CLEDs (Full Band Balanced Led Light Source). A dual optical sensor array sensor acquires transmission data. DS-816N supports stand-alone operation with a thermostatic sample tank for measurements up to 90 °C.

🔬 Working Principle / Testing Method

The DS Series quantifies liquid color using a d/0 optical geometry with 0° viewing angle over a 360–780 nm wavelength range at 10 nm interval and 5 nm half-band width. Results include CIE Lab/LCh/Luv, XYZ, Yxy, transmissibility, Hunter Lab, Munsell, MI, and CMYK spaces. Color difference formulas supported are ΔE*ab, ΔE*CH, ΔE*uv, ΔE*cmc(2:1), ΔE*cmc(1:1), ΔE*94, and ΔE*00. Observation light sources include A, B, C, D50/D55/D65/D75 and an extended LED/CWF/U-series set for application matching.
