The DS-200/DS-210/DS-220 are equipped with interchangeable measuring calibers, a built-in high-definition camera (DS-210/DS-220) for accurate positioning, and an automatic calibration base that stabilizes long-term performance. Mobile apps (WeChat applet, Android, Apple, Hongmeng) and the ColorExpert PC system enable comprehensive color management.
Each AELAB DS-200/DS-210/DS-220 colorimeter utilizes D/8 geometry with SCI, a full-band balanced LED light source (DS-220 adds UV), and a 40 mm integrating sphere. The silicon photodiode array (double 16 groups) captures reflectance over 400–700 nm with 10 nm intervals. A 2.4-inch full-color display supports field use, while USB and Bluetooth provide data exchange. Power is supplied by a 3.7V/3000 mAh rechargeable battery rated for 8000 continuous tests; the light source is specified for 10 years or 1 million tests.
The instrument measures surface reflectance and calculates CIE-Lab, CIE-LCh, HunterLab, CIE-Luv, XYZ, Yxy, RGB, and multiple color difference metrics (ΔE*ab, ΔE*cmc, ΔE*94, ΔE*00). USB and Bluetooth interfaces connect the colorimeter to Windows PC software (ColorExpert) and mobile platforms (Android, iOS, WeChat applet, Hongmeng). Data export, storage (instrument: 10000 records; APP: mass storage), and multi-language support (Chinese/English) facilitate laboratory and production workflows.
