The oil bath is composed of a heat-resistant beaker, heater, and electric motor. The heating power can be adjusted continuously, and the temperature in the oil bath is uniform. The SYD-4929A features a desktop structure that is easy to operate.
The AELAB SYD-4929A utilizes a 600 ml heat-resistant beaker as the oil bath, combined with an adjustable heating system and regulated stirring motor. The grease cup is machined from chrome-plated brass with an inner diameter of 9.92 mm, a 2.8 mm oil-dripping hole, and a 12 mm cup height. The borosilicate glass test tube supports high-temperature stability and incorporates three precision grooves located 19 mm from the bottom to secure the grease cup. The unit’s compact desktop frame enhances laboratory usability.
The SYD-4929A determines the dropping point of lubricating grease by heating the sample in a controlled oil bath until a droplet forms and falls. The instrument maintains uniform temperature distribution through continuous stirring at 60 R/min. A calibrated thermometer (-5 ~ 300 °C, division 1 °C) provides accurate temperature readings, ensuring compliance with GB/T 4929 and ASTM D566 test methodologies.
