The AELAB Turbidity Meter AE-TU4000E offers benchtop measurement of liquid turbidity up to 4000 NTU with high accuracy. Featuring a 7” touchscreen and tungsten lamp light source meeting USEPA 180.1 standards, it supports rigorous environmental, industrial, and water treatment applications.
A Benchtop Turbidity Meter is a laboratory instrument used to measure the turbidity or cloudiness of liquids. Turbidity is typically caused by suspended particles in a liquid, and this meter provides a precise quantification by measuring the amount of light scattered by these particles. The device consists of a light source, a sample cell where the liquid is placed, and a detector that measures the intensity of light scattered at a specific angle. The results are usually displayed in Nephelometric Turbidity Units (NTU) or Formazin Turbidity Units (FTU). Benchtop Turbidity Meters are commonly used in water treatment plants, environmental monitoring, and various industries to ensure the quality and clarity of liquids.
Features:
1.850nm LED light Source.
2.7” colorful touchscreen.
3.Tungsten lamp light source met USEPA 180.1 requirement.
4.1-8 points calibration using Formazin standards or zero water.
5.Autoranging from 0-4000 NTUs.
6.Data storage capacity of 1000 sets (GLP-compliant).
7.Data stored can be transferred into the computer by USB or RS-232 communication interface.
8.Reset feature automatically resumes all settings back to factory default options.
✅ How It Works? 🔬
The AE-TU4000E uses dual light sources — an 850nm LED and tungsten lamp — to measure turbidity through light scattering at a specified angle. The liquid sample is placed in a cell where the light passes through; suspended particles scatter the light which is detected and converted into turbidity units (NTU). The meter automatically ranges and stores measurement data, displayed on a vivid 7-inch touchscreen.
