





The AELAB WM-206 Whiteness Meter performs direct measurement of blue light whiteness values for objects and powders with flat surfaces. Designed for laboratory and industrial environments, the AELAB WM-206 applies the R457 whiteness formula and photoelectric detection to quantify surface reflectance with high precision.
Using a long-life LED light source at 457 nm and a corrected optical filter system, the AELAB WM-206 ensures stable, repeatable, and standards-compliant whiteness measurement across textiles, paper, plastics, building materials, and chemical products.
The AELAB WM-206 Whiteness Meter integrates a compact optical system, detection module, data processing unit, and digital display into a single robust enclosure. The optimized optical path and corrected filter system quantitatively reflect surface whiteness while ensuring long-term measurement stability.
The AELAB WM-206 Whiteness Meter operates using the photoelectric measurement principle. An LED light source at 457 nm illuminates the sample under a 45°/0° geometry. The diffuse reflectance radiant brightness energy is received by the optical cell, amplified through a high-precision auto-zeroing amplifier, calibrated via an internal energy circuit, and directly displayed as the R457 whiteness value.
